2023 Summer Hitting Clinic

Rising 4th Grade and up
The UNCG Hitting Clinics are for girls entering 4th grade and up who want to specifically improve their offensive game and have aspirations of playing softball at the collegiate level. These camp opportunities will provide the chance to learn offensive skills and strategies from current UNCG players and coaches. Campers will work on the basics and fundamentals of hitting as well as working on more advanced concepts to improve their skills.
• Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp
• Participants will benefit from the use of video analysis to breakdown the swing

2023 Spartan Skills Camp
June 29, 2023
10 am-4 pm
Rising 2nd grade and up
The UNCG Spartan Skills camp is for girls entering grades 2nd & up who want to improve their game and/or have aspirations of playing softball at the collegiate level. This camp opportunity will have participants divided into competitive groups for all sessions. Each session focuses on team strategies but also includes individual skill work beyond the basics for all areas of the game, including offensive, defense and position specific work. This camp will include opportunities for pitchers and catchers.
• Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp
• Infield, outfield, pitching, catching and situational defensive play will all be addressed during this session
• This camp will cover the specifics of glove work, footwork, and fundamentals necessary to improve all aspects of defensive play
• The hitting portion of camp will focus on fundamentals of the swing. We will introduce multiple drills and cover strategies to improve as a hitter
• Participants will benefit from the use of video analysis to breakdown the swing

2023 Pitcher/Catcher Camp

Rising 4th grade and up
The UNCG Spartan Pitcher/Catcher camp is for girls grades 4th and up who want to improve their pitching and catching game and/or have aspirations of playing softball at the collegiate level. Campers will have the opportunity to work and learn about “the battery” from members of our team and coaching staff. This camp will also include a hitting session.
• Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp
• You will not need to bring a catcher
• Water will be provided
• Please bring turfs/tennis shoes for indoor facilities

July 19, 2023
10 am - 5 pm
Rising 7th grade and up
The UNCG Spartan Prospect camp is for girls grades 7th and up who have aspirations of playing softball at the collegiate level. This two day camp will have participants divided into competitive groups for all sessions. Campers will build on existing skills and fundamentals to elevate their game as well as advanced skill work. This camp will include opportunities for pitchers and catchers. There will also be scrimmage opportunities during this event.
• Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp
• The fundamentals of infield, outfield, pitching, catching, and baserunning will all be addressed during this session
• The hitting portion of camp will focus on fundamentals of the swing as well as advanced concepts of our offense
• Each session will incorporate drills and strategies of our team
• The use of video will be implemented to give visual concepts
