Summer Prospect Camp

June 17 & 18, 2024

Rising 7th grade and up

The UNCG Spartan Prospect camp is for girls grades 7th and up who have aspirations of playing softball at the collegiate level. This camp will have participants divided into competitive groups for all sessions.

This two-day camp will include a variety of opportunities for campers to improve their overall skills.

Day 1 will be heavy skill day where we will split into positions and focus on specific drills for each spot. Campers will have the opportunity to work at both their primary and secondary positions. Pitchers and catchers will also be given specific instruction. We will then break into a hitting rotation that will include the opportunity to hit on the field and in our indoor cages. During this rotation, campers will learn about the swing and how to improve their bat speed and bat path. Campers will be instructed by UNCG coaches and players.

Day 2 will include more instruction but will have a stronger focus on competing. There will be different pitching, catching, hitting and defense competitions that will be done through the morning. The rest of the day will include live games on the field and different sports performance challenges that the UNCG players do to improve their mental skills.

• Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp

• Water and Gatorade will be provided

• Lunch will not be provided

• Please bring turfs/tennis shoes for indoor facilities

Summer Hitting Clinics

August 7, 2024 - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Rising 4th grade and up

The UNCG Hitting Clinics are for girls entering 4th grade and up who want to improve their offensive game and play softball at the collegiate level. These camp opportunities will provide the chance to learn offensive skills and strategies from current UNCG players and coaches. Campers will learn fundamentals of the swing and work basic to advanced drills that will aim to improve their skills. We will also have video analysis to show the different parts of the swing and what a swing at the collegiate level looks like.

• Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp

• Water and Gatorade will be provided 

• Please bring turfs/tennis shoes for indoor facilities

On July 9th , there is a Pitcher/Catcher camp in the morning from 10am-1pm. You can sign up for both for only $275.

Summer Pitcher/Catcher Camp

July 9, 2024 - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Rising 4th grade and up

This UNCG Spartan Prospect camp is for girls grades 4th and up who want to improve their pitching and catching game and/or have aspirations of playing softball at the collegiate level. The pitching camp will focus on mechanics and fundamentals that are essential for power and consistency, as well as break down various spins and pitch types. Catchers will work specific drills for framing, blocking, and steal throws. Pitchers and Catchers will come together at the end of camp and learn about “the battery” from members of our team and coaching staff.

• Participants will be split into age/skill specific groups during camp

• You will not need to bring a catcher

• Water and Gatorade will be provided

• Please bring turfs/tennis shoes for indoor facilities

On July 9th , there is a hitting camp in the afternoon from 2 pm-5pm. You can sign up for both for only $275.
